The National Representation (Reichsvertretung) of the Jews in Germany was founded in September 1933 as a joint representation of the Jewish community by the large ideological organisations, the national unions of Jewish communities and the large communities. It not only shares its leaders with the Central Committee [for Relief and Reconstruction] but its work has become more and more intertwined with the Central Committee's work. This led in 1935 to the incorporation of the Central Committee into the National Representation (Reichsvertretung), which by that time encompassed all relief and reconstruction work [...] The uniformity in the organisational forms corresponds with a uniformity in the budget arrangement. The fluid capital, which comes from three sources ΓÇô community taxes, collections from Jews in Germany and donations from relief organisations abroad ΓÇô is being spent according to a unified plan. The yearly budget of the Central Committee covers all relief and reconstruction work. The deliberations over the sums spent during the past year, as well as their ratification, comes under the work of the Budget Committee of the National Representation (Reichsvertretung), in which the national unions and the large communities are represented, along with the big Jewish organisations.
